Climate change is a reality. Our city has been experiencing increasingly severe weather patterns and elevated levels of smog. We have a responsibility to our families to do what we can to protect our environment and lead the way in clean energy solutions. Columbus is home to one of the nation’s premier research institutions, a highly skilled workforce and one of Ohio’s best Science Technology and Math high schools programs.18 We have the tools we need to address this growing problem, and it’s time to take action.
Let’s lead the clean energy revolution!
- Adhere to Paris Climate Agreement
- Commit to a 100% clean and renewable energy City by 2020
- Capitalize on opportunities to expand existing tax credits with renewable energy options, such as the roof repair tax credit (For example, adding solar panels to a roof would make property owners eligible for additional tax credits)
